Counterfeit parts in the electronic manufacturing industry can be tricky to identify. Counterfeit electronic components are defined as parts that have been deliberately misrepresented to hide their true origin and quality or outright copied to look like the original parts.
These counterfeit components have been unknowingly filtered into many industrial applications as well as some military, aerospace, and medical devices.
